Who we are

Aawhan Palak Sangh

Aawhan Palak Sangh, established in 1995, was founded by parents of neuro-diverse individuals aged 18 and above. At Aawhan, we foster an environment of creativity, collaboration, and joy. Here, our members not only learn essential self-care skills but also engage in meaningful activities, such as crafting simple handcrafted products and preparing a curated selection of homegrown food items. As a not-for-profit initiative, these endeavors support income generation while empowering individuals. Aawhan is dedicated to enhancing the social and physical abilities of its beneficiaries, paving the way for inclusive livelihood opportunities and personal growth.

Decorative items are made for festivals like Ganesh puja, Diwali, Rakhi Poornima etc. Gudi Padwa is the most notable Mahrashtrian festival, for which we innovated Gudhis of different sizes for the balcony, tabletop and car dashboard. Besides this, we sort clean and pack fresh vegetables, grated coconut, dry chutney, bhajanee (Flour of roasted multigrain) for the convenience of working women.
This work by specially abled persons is a struggle to establish their identity and self-respect and is done under the supervision of parents/guardians with notable contribution of social workers. We are grateful to receive active support and patronage from ‘Kesari Tours’, a well known travel company. You support and encourage us when you buy our various products. We do not solicit just your sympathy, but request you to visit our workshop, which will support our venture, make our wards feel like a useful part of society and boost their self esteem and moral.
